The Bamburger (a.k.a. THE BAM):
Designed with the progressive shortboarding in mind. This board was a collaboration with shaper KUNNY. it has a bottom rocker similiar to that of a modern high performance shortboard. The wider nose outline gives the board more planing surface allowing it to keep its speed up in mushy/flatter waves. While the tail is similiar to a wider type shortboard allowing for more high performance turns than your usual “retro type” fish. It also has a dome deck with thinner rails, this allows surfing on the rail through high speed turns. It features a full concave rather then the old school “V” bottom. What you get is a wide but progressive board for small waves that rides nothing like its old school fish grandpa and a lot closer to your shortboard. the winged swallow tail gives a nice “break” in the outline increasing pivot and bite/hold.
new for 2011 we have increased the foil in the nose of the BAM approx. 1/16″ to 1/8″ this increase in nose thickness we found increases the paddling power making it catch waves even easier without really increasing your “swing weight”.
